What is the route of the SNL GF and where does it pass through?

The SIERRA NEVADA LÍMITE GRAN FONDO route is a circular route starting and finishing in Pradollano, Sierra Nevada.

The SIERRA NEVADA LÍMITE GRAN FONDO route is a linear route starting in Cenes de la Vega and finishing at Pico Veleta at an altitude of 3,100 metres.

What is the maximum time allowed to complete the SIERRA NEVADA LÍMITE GRAN FONDO?

A maximum time of 9 hours is set to complete the route.

A maximum time of 5 hours is set to complete the route.

DOCUMENTATION and material

Is there any mandatory material? Which one?

Yes, all runners in the SIERRA NEVADA LÍMITE, without exception, must ensure they carry the following compulsory equipment > link to compulsory equipment.

The bib number for both modalities can be collected at the Sports Pavilion of Cenes de la Vega.

Friday from 11:00 – 14:00h and 17:00-20:30h and Saturday from 6:00-8:00h for both modalities.

To collect your bib number you will need an official identification document (ID card or passport) and a federation licence if you are a member of the federation.

In the event that the race bib holder is unable to collect the bib, it may be collected by a third person on presentation of authorisation and a photocopy of the bib holder’s ID card.

Race bibs must always be clearly visible on the front of the bike throughout the race.

Yes, there will be a bib drop-off point 1 hour before the start of the race.

WARDROBE AND BACKPACKS

Yes, for both modalities

The cloakroom timetable is 1 hour before the start of each modality in the start area.

In the finish area at the end of the race.

Participants will be allowed access to the start box with their bag and warm clothes. The organisers will collect all the bags from the start boxes 10 minutes before the start in order to prevent participants from cooling down.

It is not necessary, the organisation will deliver the backpacks already identified, which must be handed in at the wardrobe.

It is compulsory to show your bib number in order to hand in your rucksack.

The boxes open one hour before the start. At that time, chip verification and equipment checks will begin.

CHECKPOINTS AND MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

There will be several checkpoints along the route.

YES there will be a medical assistance point. Two mobile assistance teams will also be available throughout the race.

CAREER MONITORING

The general public can access through the race website the evolution of the head of the race through the control points and the entrance of the participants to the finish line. Thanks to the integration of the timing system with the ranking management software, we can share the results of the event in real time both at the finish area and on the internet through the YOMURY app.

TRANSFERS AND EXCHANGES

No. Registration is personal and non-transferable.

Yes, you can change the name on the race number up to 15 days before the event, provided that race numbers are not sold out and there is no waiting list. The administration fee is €5.

The change of modality is valid as long as it is done before the closing date of registration and there are bibs available in the modality of the change. If you change to a lower category, the difference will be credited minus a €3 administration fee. If you wish to change to a higher category, you can do so as long as there are still bibs available, you will have to pay the difference.

OTHER QUESTIONS

The organisation has a civil liability insurance policy in accordance with current legislation as well as that of the federation.

YES All finishers will receive a personalised medal according to the distance they are finisher of.

No, the official Sierra Nevada Límite jersey is optional and can be purchased at a promotional price when registering.

There are NO shower facilities in Pradollano.

SIERRA NEVADA LÍMITE was created to enjoy the Province of Granada, Sierra Nevada and all the beauty that exists in the maximum respect for the natural environment.

One more year, we continue with the same enthusiasm, with a spectacular route with the most legendary mountain passes of international cycling. A total of 145 kilometres of mountains and nature that will be tough but unforgettable.

As always, we will need all the help we can get to make the Province of Granada a perfect tourist and sporting destination for cycling, thereby helping to create new economic opportunities for the province. You know it will be a hard day’s work, but it will also be a day of sharing and enjoying the province of Granada and cycling, as well as bringing participants closer to their ultimate goal, which is to cross the finish line in an extreme event such as the SIERRA NEVADA LÍMITE.

By Bus

Granada bus station offers destinations to all parts of the peninsula and the main European destinations.

By Car

Granada is connected to Madrid by the A-44 and A-4. With Seville and Malaga via the A-92. With Levante, also via the A-92, continuing along the A-7. Also with the Tropical coast by the A-44 to Motril.

By Plane

Granada-Jaén GRX airport is 15 kilometres from the city.

Malaga airport is 136 kilometres from Granada. There is a direct bus to Granada from Malaga airport.

Seville-San Pablo airport is 250 kilometres from Granada.

By Trail

Granada railway station is located in the centre of the city. In Avenida Andaluces.

You can consult all train timetables to and from Granada on the Renfe website.

La estación de esquí de Sierra Nevada es una de las más modernas y mejor equipadas de Europa. Dispone de 124 pistas con diferentes grados de dificultad, una longitud de 107 kilómetros y un desnivel de 1.200 metros. Ofrece abundante nieve y muchos días de sol en pleno invierno. Otros de los atractivos de Sierra Nevada son la posibilidad de esquiar de noche en una pista iluminada, su famoso ambiente nocturno y la proximidad de la ciudad de Granada a solo media hora en coche.
